Miller’s Jewelry & Repair offers a wide range of service and repair options for jewelry and watches.
The majority of our service and repair is done in-house by our own team of Sisma certified experts. Pricing for service and repair varies and is quoted in person based on the type of piece and the overall scope of service. Visit us in the store, where our experts will happily assist you.
Ring Sizing
Pricing is determined based on the type of metal, whether the sizing needs to go larger or smaller, the number of gemstones in the piece, the width of the shank, and the overall scope of service. During resizing, all gemstones are checked, tightened, and the ring is refinished.
Remounting
If you have a new or existing gemstone and would like to and put it in something new and fresh, or perhaps you have a ring you’d like to transform into a pendant, our experts specialize in remounting your gemstones to make a beautiful new piece full of the history and beauty treasured for generations!
Appraisals
We offer free appraisals for anything purchased at Miller’s Jewelry & Repair. Our fee is $150 for a full standalone appraisal. If your piece is in for repair already, the fee is an additional $110 (for pieces with gemstones). If your piece does not have gemstones (for example, watches or gold), the appraisal fee is $85. If we’ve done an appraisal for you in the past, you will only be charged an update fee of $75.
Prong Work
We rebuild (completely replace prongs that have snapped off) and re-tip (flow metal over existing prongs) in-house. Prong work is available for most metals. Pricing is determined on an individual basis, based on the type of repair needed, the type of metal used, the overall scope of service, and the amount of metal needed to make the repair.
Battery Replacement
We replace all types of watch batteries, no matter the quality of watch. Done while you wait, in most cases. We offer lifetime batteries on Miller’s watches – batteries included, for the lifetime of the customer!
Gold Recycling
We purchase old, unusable, broken, or unwanted jewelry for gold scrap. We can provide you cash onsite or store credit toward your next purchase, to which we add 30% to the value of your gold. Although we purchase jewelry for scrap, we do not purchase new or undamaged pieces, especially those containing gemstones. If you are looking to sell your gently used jewelry, we recommend you approach family members or friends. We work directly with accredited IJO vendors to stock our inventory, so we can insure the quality of jewelry we offer.
Gemstone Setting
Whether you’re adding a new gemstone to a new or an existing piece, or you’re replacing a gemstone that’s falling out, our experts are qualified to set gemstones in your piece. Pricing is based on the size and cut of the gemstone, the type of mounting, type of the metal being used, and overall scope of service.
Watch Repair
We repair mechanical and quartz watches of all types (from Rolex to Timex), and we offer watch band sizing adjustments, repairs and replacements, most of which our experts do on site.
